Q & A
As a rookie journalist the first lesson I learned was how to tell a story using the five W's. Here goes with a few details about me...
Who?
A Sydney-based health journalist with stacks of experience pitching, writing and editing, in roles including senior writer, deputy editor, features editor and freelancer. Currently news editor for 6minutes, part of the Australian Doctor Group website, creating content about doctors and medicine.

What?
Stories on everything from grumpy GPs to medical breakthroughs to COVID-19. and as a freelancer, features on health and wellbeing in Sunday Life, body + soul and Health Agenda.

Where?
Sydney and the UK, on local papers, Australian Associated Press, parenting magazines, health titles and digital news across writing and editing roles. For almost six years I’ve been producing news and features for the Australian Doctor Group website.

When?
Quickly... I thrive in a fast-paced digital environment, meeting tight deadlines, and turning stories around in hours not days.

Why?
Life's complicated. I love to tell stories that unscramble the confusion, and shine a light on lives not usually in the spotlight.

Anything else?
Mum, fervent Sydney-sider, occasional ocean swimmer, O35s football player, one-time City to Surf finisher and book clubber.
